Z. Hussain et S. Totterdell, CALBINDIN-D28K IMMUNOREACTIVE NEURONS FORM 2 POPULATIONS IN THE RAT NUCLEUS-ACCUMBENS - A COMPARTMENTAL STUDY, Brain research, 656(1), 1994, pp. 191-198
This study shows localisation of a second class of calbindin-D28k cont
aining neuron other than the medium-sized spiny neuron in the rat nucl
eus accumbens, using immunohistochemistry with monoclonal antibodies.
Ultrastructual characteristics were used to identify this second popul
ation of accumbens neurons within its compartments. Staining-with NADP
H-diaphorase and calbindin-D28k immunoreactivity revealed that some ne
urons contained both markers.
