The exact solution to the problem of electrons under the combined effe
ct of a square potential barrier and magnetic field parallel to the in
terfaces has been obtained. Beyond the states associated with the pres
ence of an isolated interface, a new family of solutions which arises
from the interaction between the two interfaces has been found. Inclus
ion of non-parabolic effects leads to sizable corrections, and consequ
ently they should be taken into account in a reliable quantitative cal
culation. Under applied bias of typical strength, the eigenvalue spect
rum changes radically as compared with the zero-electric-field results
.
