EXCHANGE-ANISOTROPY OF COBALT FINE PARTICLES

The present paper is devoted to the investigation of exchange anisotro py of fine cobalt particles with oxidized surface. From the value of h ysteresis loop shift the value of exchange magnetic anisotropy constan t and its dependence of the particle size has been determined. X-ray s tructure analysis has shown, that cobalt core of the particle is surro unded by a thin layer of the CoO which, in turn, is covered by a layer of Co3O4.
