Abstract
We used the arterial pressure wave as a reliable trigger to synchroniz e MR imaging to the cardiac cycle. Pressure readings and MR images rem ained undistorted using a conventional ferromagnetic micromanometer-ti p catheter. As a safe alternative to triggering to ventricular pressur e, this approach allows varying the time relation between the trigger and the cardiac cycle while maintaining the advantages of pressure-gat ing.
