Abstract
The effect of the oxidizer concentration, electrode potential, electro lyte acidity and stirring intensity on the iron-dissolution rate in th e presence of nitrites and nitrates was studied. A possible mechanism for the accelerating action of oxidizers on metal dissolution was cons idered.
