New acetylene complexes of titanocene and permethyltitanocene CpTi(R1C
2R2) and Cp2Ti(R1C2R2) (R1 = R2 = SiMe3; R1 = Ph, R2 = SiMe3) without
additional ligands have been prepared by the reaction of Cp2TiCl2 and
Cp2TiCl2 with equimolar amounts of Mg and the appropriate acetylene
R1C2R2 in THF. The complexes have been isolated from the reaction mixt
ure in an analytically pure state and characterized by spectral method
s. The structures of complexes Cp2Ti(PhC2SiMe3), Cp2Ti(PhC2SiMe3) and
Cp2Ti(Me3SiC2SiMe3) have been proved by an X-ray diffraction study.
Some chemical properties of the synthesized complexes have been invest
igated.
