Abstract
Hexanic extracts of plant leaves (HEPL) of sixteen species have been i nvestigated for their triterpenic ketone content Five pentacyclic keto nes have been identified by GC/IR-FT and GC-MS, i. e. arborinone, tara xerone, lupenone, friedelin and beta-amyrinone. A sixth one could not be identified. Two species represented interesting sources : Ruscus ac uleatus (12,5 % lupenone/HEPL) and Senecio bicolor (8, 1 % beta-amyrin one/HEPL).
