Abstract
Numerical simulations suggest that the Mandelbrot set for binary numbe
rs z = x + gammay with x, y is-an-element-of R and gamma2 = alpha + ga
mmabeta (alpha,beta is-an-element-of R given) is a simple filled-in sq
uare in the perplex case, i.e., alpha = 1, beta = 0. The paper gives a
proof of this experimental result.
