Inelastic neutron scattering studies on two cerium Kondo systems, CeSi
Ga and CeSn2In are reported. In CeSiGa the thermal evolution of the qu
asielastic line width indicates a strong competition between Kondo and
RKKY interaction and the spectral response shows only one inelastic p
eak, the possible reasons for this behaviour are discussed. In the cas
e of CeSn2In our results agree well with those of previous workers. (C
