STUDY OF TAXONOMIC RELATIONS BETWEEN COLO NIES OF RED ALGA OF GENUS GRACILIARIA IN THE PETER-THE-GREAT-BAY OF THE SEA OF JAPAN

The zymogram method was used to investigate the taxonomic relations be tween three colonies of the attached form and one colony of the unatta ched form of red alga of genus Gracilaria. The findings demonstrate th at two of the attached form colonies and the unattached form colony ar e conspecific populations of the species Gracilaria verrucosa, while o ne of the studied attached form colonies comprises individuals of a di fferent species, i.e., Gracilaria sp.
