Ag. Bedekar et al., INFLUENCE OF MONOMER CONCENTRATION AND ELECTRODE CONDUCTIVITY ON MORPHOLOGY OF POLY (O-ANISIDINE) FILMS, Journal of physics. D, Applied physics, 27(8), 1994, pp. 1727-1731
The influence of monomer concentration and electrode conductivity on t
he morphology of electrochemically deposited poly (o-anisidine) films
has been investigated using scanning electron microscopy. The films ar
e found to exhibit a fibrillar morphology, except on lower conductivit
y electrodes and at lower concentrations of the monomer. The monomer c
oncentration predominantly governs the rate of reaction and deposition
of films; the effect of which is observed in terms of various types o
f patterning of fibres, namely anastomistic, reticulate, stillate, fla
bellate and so on. The number density of fibres is seen to be affected
by the electrode conductivity.
