Abstract
MRI is applied to the visualisation of wetting heterogeneities evidenc ed by water proton T-1 contrast at 0.1 T. Water saturated Fontaineblea u sandstone samples were examined either in their original water-wet c ondition, or after silanation. T-1, T-2Hahn, and T-2CPMG were measured for several porosities. T-1 and T-2CPMG Of hydrophobic samples are bo th twice longer than those of hydrophilic ones. This good contrast all ows us to observe wetting heterogeneities in T-1-profiles and T-1-weig hted images.
