B. Mirzynska et al., ELECTROPOLYMERIZATION OF ANILINE AND DITHIENOTHIOPHENE AT ROTATING RING-DISC ELECTRODE, Polish Journal of Chemistry, 68(9), 1994, pp. 1863-1870
Electropolymerization of aniline acid 3,4-b:3',4'-d:dithienothiophene
(DTT) at rotating ring-disc electrode was studied. Strong influence of
electrode rotation on thickness of polymeric film was observed for an
iline but not for DTT. Reduction waves of intermediate products at the
ring electrode revealled a two-step or one-step reaction for aniline
and DTT, respectively. Mechanisms of electropolymerization of the comp
ounds were discussed suggesting the route via cation radicals and olig
omers for DTT and a more complicated path for aniline.
