Abstract
Coriandrin, an antiviral agent, has been synthesized in nine steps fro m diketone 3. The key steps in the synthesis include an efficient arom atization reaction using N-bromosuccinimide and a palladium-mediated c oupling of a benzylic bromide with a vinyl stannane.
