Abstract
Room temperature Mossbauer spectra of ferrimagnetic spinels in the sys tem Cdx2+Fe1-x2+[Ni1-x2+Fe1-x3+]O-4 have been interpreted using the po lyhedron model which is based on six different environments at the A-s ite for the B-site Fe3+-ions. To each environment belongs one sextet w ith a characteristic magnetic splitting. An additional sextet is due t o Fe3+-ions at the A-site.
