Tm. Letcher et al., THE EXCESS VOLUMES OF (DIBUTYLAMINE PLUS AN ETHER) AT THE TEMPERATURE298.15-K, Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 26(9), 1994, pp. 1019-1023
The excess volumes V(E) of {dibutylamine + diethyl ether or dipropyl e
ther or di-1-methylethyl ether or dibutyl ether or 1, 1-dimethylethyl
methyl ether or 1, 1-dimethylpropyl methyl ether or tetrahydrofuran or
tetrahydropyran or 1,4-dioxane} have been measured over the whole com
position range at the temperature 298.15 K in order to investigate dib
utylamine ether interactions. The V(E) values for each of the mixtures
studied are negative with the exception of (dibutylamine + dibutyl et
her or tetrahydrofuran or tetrahydropyran or 1,4 dioxane). For each of
the sets of [x{CH3(CH2)3}2NH + (1-x)ROR'], with ROR' a straight-chain
ether or a branched-chain ether or a cyclic ether, V(m)E increases wi
th increasing molar mass of the ROR'.
