Parameters of semidiurinal internal waves were estimated by means of s
pectral analysis of the salinity profiles obtained by a two-ship hydro
logical survey. The Kamchatka Current and eddies strongly influence th
e internal tide rays emanated from the shelf edge and do not let the w
aves pass if the waves have large along-current components of the wave
number. The cyclonic eddy on the ocean side of the Kamchatka Current
changed the wave propagation direction. The wave with heights up to 60
m, and lenghts - 30-40 km propagated to ESE and crossed the Kamchatka
Current in a nearly perpendicular direction. The obseved phenomena se
em to be rather typical for continental slopes with strong currents.
