The idea of present exercise is not to search for reasons of IRDP cont
inuance, but to ascertain programme benefits, if any, in respect of se
ven districts viz. Raigarh, Shivpuri, Shajapur, Chhatarpur, Gwalior, M
orena and Guna of Madhya Pradesh. The findings presented here are base
d on the studies conducted by National Centre for Human Settlements an
d Environment, Bhopal, in seven development blocks (each block of samp
le size 250 of IRDP families assisted during 1989-90 to 1990-91) each
selected from the districts mentioned above.
