Long Period Variables represent a late stage in the evolution of inter
mediate mass stars. Mass loss wich leads them to planetary nebulae wit
hin a few 10(5) years, is a complex process and the object of many inv
estigations. Recents studies suggest that mass loss could occur in bri
ef superwind phases separated by long quiescent periods. Here we produ
ce a total of about one hundred light curves of Mira stars. Furthermor
e some relationships between mass loss and the shape of the light curv
e are analysed in this article.
