Abstract
Two different quantum deformations of the Thouless model for supercond uctivity are introduced. The ground state energy is estimated by using a coherent state variational method. The coherent states do not conse rve the number of particles, since pairs can be broken by temperature. Thus the number non-conserving coherent states are used in mimicking temperature effects. The point where the second order phase transition takes place is calculated analytically.
