On the basis of the exist of an energy gap in phonon spectra, a low-te
mperature thermodynamic analysis of the specific heat, internal and fr
ee energy and entropy of phonon systems in thin films was performed. T
he results show that these thermodynamic quantities at the same temper
ature have lower values than the corresponding ones in ideal structure
s. This indicates that the film structures represent more ordered ther
modynamic systems and for their heating up to the same temperature a l
arger energy is needed.
