The responses of the poly(pyrrole)-based ion-selective perchlorate ele
ctrode were investigated in both perchlorate and redox buffers media.
Sensitivity of tested electrodes both to the changes of perchlorate io
n concentrations and redox potential of the solution were observed. Sl
opes were characteristic: -51.3 mV/dec in the case of perchlorate ion
solutions and 61 mV/dec in the case of redox calibration. Potentiometr
ic redox sensitivity of the tested poly(pyrrole) layers was observed i
n presence of 1 M sodium perchlorate. Potentiometric redox sensitivity
of the bare platinum electrode and perchlorate-sensitive electrode ba
sed on poly(pyrrole) in presence of 0.1 M NaClO4 were compared.
