F. Quentel et al., DETERMINATION OF COPPER IN SEAWATER BY ADSORPTIVE VOLTAMMETRY WITH 1,2-DIHYDROXYANTHRAQUINONE-3-SULFONIC ACID, Electroanalysis, 6(8), 1994, pp. 683-688
A method is described for the determination of copper in seawater by a
dsorptive stripping voltammetry after accumulation of a 1,2-dihydroxya
nthraquinone-3-sulfonic acid (DASA) comples. The effects of various op
erational parameters (pH, ligand concentration, potential, and accumul
ation time) on the reduction current of the adsorbed chelate are discu
ssed. A linear current concentration relationship was observed up to 5
x 10(-8) M. The detection limit is 0.3 nM.
