Abstract
The composition, thickness, thermodynamic activities of components, Gi bbs energy and excess energy of formation of the surface layer on bina ry melts of iron, cobalt and nickel-based alloys with different intera tomic interactions were evaluated with the aid of data from the litera ture and the authors measurements of the concentration dependence of t he surface tension and molar volume.
