IMPROVING PICTURES IN DERMATOPATHOLOGY

We have found that a remarkable improvement in the resolution of the d etails and in the richness of halftones can be obtained using 4'' x 5' ' black-and-white professional firms specifically prepared for scienti fic and documentary photography. Through modification of the developin g time and developer dilution, a close control of the contrast and gra y tones is also possible. Using this large-format film, a contact prin t can be made and top-quality pictures obtained even for a subject as difficult as skin pathology.
