Abstract
Cytogenetic analysis of bone marrow cells performed at the time of dia gnosis of ALL in an 80-year-old male patient revealed two unrelated ab normal clones. One included the 9;22 translocation (Philadelphia chrom osome) as the sole aberration and the second was missing the Y chromos ome. The significance of this finding in the light of the role of - Y clone in malignancy is discussed.
