Abstract
We report a case of portal and systemic venous gas detected in a neona te without clinical or radiographic evidence of necrotizing enterocoli tis who then subsequently developed unequivocal clinical and radiograp hic signs of this condition. These findings are discussed in relation to previous reports in the literature.
