Abstract
This article presents a brief introduction to the principles of Buddhi sm and notes the similarities between Buddhism and Western psychothera py. Citing the work of Watzlawick, Weakland & Fisch (1974) it is argue d that a second-order change model could be constructed based upon Bud dhist principles.
