Abstract
We study the gravitational wave in a plain symmetric universe. The top ologically non-trivial background space-time is constructed with the h elp of the knowledge of the three-dimensional gravity. It is shown tha t the ripples of the curvature on this background have interesting fea tures. The cosmological implications are also discussed.
