Abstract
We perform an Hamiltonian reduction on a classical W(G, H) algebra, an d prove that we get another W(G, H') algebra, with H subset-of H'. In the case G = Sl(n), the existence of a suitable gaugge. called General ized Horizontal Gauge, allows to relate in this way two W-algebras as soon as their corresponding H-algebras are related by inclusion.
