ELECTROMAGNETIC-WAVES AT MOLECULAR LAYERS ADSORBED ON THE SURFACE OF A SOLID

Electromanetic waves localized on the surface of a solid with an adsor bed molecular film are considered. Dispersion laws of the waves are in vestigated. It is shown that a new type of waves which are different f rom the well-known surface polaritons may exist in the considered syst ems. The waves can be excited in the frequency range where dielectric constant is positive. The molecular film has been studied for its effe ct on the spectrum of a surface polariton in the adsorbent.
