Abstract
Metallized coatings have been successful for many years in providing s acrificial protection to pressure vessels in high-temperature applicat ions in which they are susceptible to localized corrosion, hydrogen bl istering, erosion, and pitting. In addition, when corrosion allowances have decreased or have been eliminated after many years of service, m etallized coatings can be used to restore the allowances and extend th e life of the equipment.
