The objective of the work is twofold. First is it the transformation o
f the FORTRAN finite element code into C language and comparison of th
e efficiency of these two programs. The program was developed for the
axisymmetrical forging process and it couples the rigid-plastic flow f
ormulation with the finite-clement solution of the Fourier equation. S
econd objective is an attempt of the parallel implementation on networ
ked workstations.
