Abstract
This paper describes some of the research being carried out to complet e an IKBS for Forging Die Design which is under development at the Uni versity of Birmingham. It deals with integration of the IKBS with an F E simulation program, the experimental work performed to establish com parison criteria and the creation of the IKBS database.
