T. Ohira et M. Yatagai, EXTRACTIVES FROM THE BARK OF ABIES-SACHALINENSIS .1. THE EFFICIENT EXTRACTION OF CIS-ABIENOL USING SUPERCRITICAL CARBON-DIOXIDE, Mokuzai Gakkaishi, 40(7), 1994, pp. 751-757
The dichloromethane extractives from the bark of Abies sachalinensis M
ast. were studied. Three diterpenoids, cis-abienol (I), 13-epi-manool
(II), and dehydroabietic acid (III), and two triterpenoids, beta-sitos
terol (IV) and beta-sitostenone (V), were isolated from its bark. A ra
pid and quantitative analysis method for cis-abienol was studied by us
ing the HPLC system to develop an efficient extraction method. Efficie
nt extractions of cis-abienol from the bark have been studied by means
of organic solvents and supercritical carbon dioxide. Consequently, i
t was revealed that supercritical carbon extraction under 100 kgf/cm2
at 40-degrees-C was the most efficient method for extracting cis-abien
ol from the bark. Under the above conditions, the content of cis-abien
ol was 13.60% in extractives (0.023% on an oven-dried bark basis).
