Abstract
The distribution of charge states of all atoms in the unit cell of RBa (2)Cu(3)O(x); x=6, 7 (R = Yb, Er, Ho, Y, Gd, Eu, Sm, Nd, Pr) is determ ined on the basis of comparison of the theoretical calculated electric field gradient tensor and existing experimental data. The variation o f the charge states of the atoms as a function of the ionic radius is analyzed.
