C. Gambini et F. Rongioletti, RECURRENT SPITZ NEVUS - CASE-REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE, The American journal of dermatopathology, 16(4), 1994, pp. 409-413
The recurrence of Spitz nevus (SN) both after partial and full excisio
n is a rare but benign event that may simulate metastatic melanoma. We
describe a 5-year-old girl in whom the tumor, which had histopatholog
ic features of SN, recurred twice. The first recurrence was after elec
trodessication, whereas the second was after full excision. A review o
f the available studies on recurrent Spitz nevus is also performed.
