INTERFERON-GAMMA THERAPY FOR SYSTEMIC-SCL EROSIS

The results of Interferon-gamma therapy for systemic sclerosis (SSc) a re reported in this paper. 25 patients were evaluated after a median f ollow up of three and a half years and a significant improvement of th e skin score could be demonstrated in early forms of SSc. Visceral man ifestations of SSc did not improve in general, whereas individual pati ents also benefited from therapy. Interferon-gamma therapy was general ly well tolerated, only flue-like symptoms occured.
