Glass ceramics, prepared by the controlled devitrification of glasses, have become established in a wide range of technical and technologica l applications, ranging from domestic usage through to heavy electrica l engineering and microelectronics. Part 1 of this overview looked at the development and principal bulk applications. This second and final part looks at the use of glass ceramics in joining, a number of minor applications and future uses.
