Abstract
Six brown coals and two hard coals were gasified in a fluidized bed at 2.5 MPa with steam or CO2 at different partial pressures. The reactio n rate was determined as a function of carbon and partial pressure, an d correlations were derived between overall reaction rate and contents of catalytically active elements (Ca, Fe) in the coals.
