Abstract
In this work the influence of a sputtered coating (SiO2) on a FeSiCuNb B amorphous alloy has been studied from two points of view: the effect on the nanocrystallization process and the effect on the magnetic pro perties. It is shown that after heat treatment (550-degrees-C for 1 h) a magnetic anisotropy normal to the ribbon axis appears due to anelas tic strains.
