Abstract
A procedure is proposed for calculating the parameters characterizing the transfer function of an actual vibration damper for overhead trans mission line conductors, based on the preliminary determination of an ideal target transfer function derived from energetic considerations. The procedure involves choosing and minimizing a suitable performance index that characterizes the distances between the two transfer functi ons. An example of application is presented for a particular type of d amper.
