Abstract
The College Board has announced revisions to the Scholastic Aptitude T est; the first administration of the new version of the test was in Ma rch 1994. This article provides some historical background on the SAT, compares the format of the old and the new versions of the test, and discusses the implication of the new SAT for students and admissions p ersonnel.
