Abstract
The maximum efficiency of burning sulphur from granular ore (max. 10 m m), with approx. 30% sulphur, was 98-99% in a pilot moving bed reactor of a laboratory scale. The most important advantages of this operatio n system are: the process autothermicity, energy savings, small ash en trainment, adaptability for processing ores with variable sulphur cont ent.
