Lanthanide Complexes of acetylacetonate and 5-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-10,15,
20-triphenylporphyrin having the general formula Ln[HP(Ph)(3)P]acac (w
here Ln = Ho, Tm, Yb, Lu; HP = 4-hydroxyphenyl; Ph = phenyl; Hacac = a
cetylacetone) have been synthesized and characterized. A structure in
which one 5-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin is coordinat
ed to a lanthanide ion in a tetradentate fashion, while one acetylacet
onate is coordinated to the same metal in a bidentate fashion is propo
sed.
