Abstract
The binuclear octahedral M(II) complexes [Co-2(LH(4))(H2O)(2)]4(+), [N i-2(LH(4))(NCMe)(2)](4+) and [Zn-2(LH(4))(NO3)(2)](2+) incorporating t he new 10 coordinate pendant arm ligand LH(4),dagger all show an anti- configuration; in contrast the Cu-II complex [CU2(LH(2))](2+) adopts a syn-configuration incorporating intramolecular H-bonding.
