Abstract
Two geometrical isomers, mer- and fac-tricyano[di(2-pyridylmethyl)amin e]ferrate(II) give the iron(II) complex with dehydrogenated ligand and iron(III) complex with intact ligand, respectively, upon oxidation wi th (NH4)(2)SO4 or H2O2 at neutral pH, which is confirmed by electroche mical measurements.
