Abstract
An analytical solution for the temperature distribution in an infinite ly extended isotropic body with a steady, periodic-type, moving-point heat sources is discussed. The reduced (or dimensionless) temperature solutions are presented in terms of decompositions C(GAMMA) an S(GAMMA ) of the generalized representation of the incomplete Gamma function. It is also demonstrated that the present analysis covers the classical temperature solution of a constant strength source under the quasi-st eady-state situation.
