DEINKABILITY OF WATERBORNE FLEXO INKS BY FLOTATION

Waterborne flexo inks are still under discussion as far as their deink ability by flotation is concerned. The poor flotation efficiency of wa terborne inks is related to their hydrophilic nature as well as their small particle size. By adequate mechanical treatment before deinking, the combination of various deinking processes, application of special deinking agents and modifications to waterborne flexo ink formulation , the deinkability of waste paper containing waterborne inks can be si gnificantly improved.
