Computer simulation of the process of absorption of carbon dioxide fro
m air into aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide in a vibrating valve
plate column is presented. The profiles of the concentrations, togethe
r with the relevant hydrodynamic and physicochemical parameters along
the column height, are simulated. The resulting outlet gas concentrati
ons are compared with experimental data.
